Wednesday morning during chapel, we were able to recognize students from Grades 2-5 who showed qualities of ESLR #1 – A Spiritually Maturing Individual. Congratulations!

SECONDARY

Thank you to all the parents and students who joined us at the ASAC Jr. Basketball Tournament hosted by Logos last week! We could not have done it without all the volunteers! Check out some photos from the tournament on our Facebook page.

A NOTE FROM SCHOOL NURSE

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MoEYS) encourages female students who are ages 9 years old to get vaccinated against the human papillomavirus (HPV)–please see the attached announcement in Khmer.

HPV is a type of virus that is commonly known to cause most cervical cancers. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the recommended age for the HPV vaccine is 11 or 12 years but it can begin at 9 years old.

The vaccine is provided by the Cambodian Ministry of Health as part of a nationwide campaign. It is available in government health centers all over Cambodia, from October 2023 onward. However, feel free to purchase the vaccine from other clinics of your choice.

If you bring your child to get vaccinated, please inform me via ssor@asianhope.org

If your child has already been vaccinated against HPV, but you have not updated the school, please also email the vaccine information to my email address above.
